Jock Stein was a Scottish football manager and former player, widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential figures in the history of Scottish football. Born on October 5, 1922, in Burnbank, South Lanarkshire, Stein had a remarkable career that spanned over five decades.
As a player, Stein mainly featured as a center half, representing clubs such as Albion Rovers, Llanelli Town, and Celtic. Stein first gained prominence during his tenure as the manager of Celtic Football Club, where he led the team to numerous domestic and international successes between 1965 and 1978.
